Aaron Boucher (b. 1979) is a multidisciplinary conceptual and figurative artist whose works include mixed media on paper, canvas, and sculpture. He earned a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 2004 and worked with noted contemporary Architecture firms in New York City while developing his minimalist design ethos. Aaron has won numerous design awards and competitions and his works have displayed in galleries in New York City and across the country to critical acclaim.
I use symbolism and allegorical minimalist compositions to illustrate complex ideas and establish a new paradigm for societal identity. My work seeks to open a dialogue to communicate the essential experiences of the individual including loss and connection and the consequences of impunity. The use of symbolism, rooted in theories of humanism and universality, contrasts with delicate, subtle shifts in tone and fields of color. My latest work expresses solidarity with those who experience discrimination and portrays the steadfast spirit; deconstructing real and cultural borders through abstraction and a redefined language.
